  • COVID-19 Response

The COVID-19 pandemic has created a challenging and uncertain time for our customers and communities. Our regulated utilities, PNM and TNMP, have posted helpful information for customers on their websites:

TXNM Energy is here for our team members and communities, as well. Like other utilities, we have taken steps to prioritize critical workforce and assets to ensure that electric service is uninterrupted. We’ve worked to limit exposure to these critical teams and facilities, reduced contact between crew members, and all other team members that aren’t required to be in those facilities or in the field are working from home with flexible policies. We have modified our wellness program and have provided tips to keep our team members physically and mentally healthy. Our crisis team meets daily, and our team members also hear from senior management daily. We stay connected through these communications, group meetings and our internal social media.

Our teams are looking out for our communities, as well. We have supported local restaurants by purchasing and delivering take-out meals in bulk to health care providers, police and fire stations. We donated masks from our storage to hospitals and communities in need. We have also provided financial assistance to help those most vulnerable during this time.

The TXNM Energy Foundation has opened new grant opportunities to support non-profits in both New Mexico and Texas with a focus on safety and COVID-19. The Foundation is also supporting the Albuquerque Community Foundation and United Way of Central New Mexico who have teamed up to deploy an Emergency Action Fund to support nonprofit organizations struggling with lost and non-recoverable revenue expenses due to COVID-19.
